From 19. to 22. October, 2011 up to 1300 participants will be making their way to the Spanish capital for further education, to discuss new lighting solutions, exchange information on research results, meet business contacts and learn more about cutting-edge technologies.

Lights in Alingsås 2011
Alingsås is a quiet nest 50 kilometres north-east of Gothenburg. For five weeks every autumn streams of international visitors flock to the little Swedish town from all over the world, locals defy the dark and cold and venture out onto the streets as autumn takes its hold, would-be lighting designers create amazingly sensitive installations in their own gardens, teams of international students clad in uniform weatherproof jackets are seen all over town, climbing trees, clambering up ladders on house fronts, crawling around under bushes… That can only mean one thing: the Lights in Alingsås workshop is underway!

Exhibition Larry Kagan - "Shadows"
Larry Kagan is a sculptor who uses steel, light and cast shadow as a creative medium. A long time Professor of Art at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, he maintains studios in Troy and in New York City. He is represented by OK Harris art gallery in New York City.
